  • Course Learning Outcomes, Objectives and Expectations

Biomimicking is the artificial reproduction of biological systems to replicate their shape and function. Liquid crystals are outstanding candidates for biomimicking depending on their behavior of patterning and sensitivity to electric field, polarization and temperature modulation. Biomimicking applications of liquid crystals have a great potential for the biological systems responsible for color, anti-reflection and lenses, amongst others.
