Dr. Kemiklioğlu received her bachelor's and master's degrees in Chemistry in 2004 and 2007, respectively, from Manisa Celal Bayar University, Turkey. She was awarded with full scholarship by Turkish Educational Ministry throughout PhD program about Liquid Crystals in 2007. She completed her PhD degree between 2009 and 2014 in Liquid Crystal Institute (LCI) at Kent State University, Ohio, USA. During her PhD, she studied blue phase liquid crystals and their applications under Prof. Liang-Chy Chien supervision. She works on the stabilization and encapsulation of blue phase liquid crystals as well as electro-optical properties of polymer-blue phase liquid crystal composites. She has 1 patent and 19 conference publications and 9 published journals. She was an intern in Corning Gorilla Glass for 6 months and also she supervised undergraduate students in the laboratory during her PhD. She is a member of International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE), Society for Information Display (SID). Dr. Kemiklioğlu joined in Manisa Celal Bayar University's Bio-engineering Department in 2015 after she received her PhD degree from Liquid Crystal Institute at Kent State University. She is the founder of ALCA (Advanced Liquid Crystal Applications) research group.
