  • Course Learning Outcomes, Objectives and Expectations

Engineering thermodynamics plays a fundamental role in developing improved ways to provide and use energy from alternative energy systems leading a decrement in the serious human health and environmental consequences coming with air and water pollution as well as global climate change. Applications of engineering thermodynamics in bioengineering, biomedical systems, and nanotechnology also continue to emerge. This course helps bioengineering students not only to gain analytical and problem-solving skills but also to have knowledge on the thermodynamic principles, first and second laws of thermodynamics, evaluating properties and entropy.
